Whats the difference between a 24 fret silouette and 22 fret? Is the body the same? Was the finger board radius 10" when they put floyds on them?

The Silhouette is 24 fret HSH
The Silhouette Special is 22 fret HSS or SSS
both have a 10" radius and I believe always has been

The body shapes are very similar but not exact. Its most noticeable in the cutaways and horns with the Silhouette slightly more elongated allowing for additional fret access.

When it was introduced, the Silhouette Special body had been re-engineered for the 22 fret neck in order to maintain appropriate fret access and balance points.

I really am just kidding. I've never played or even fondled a Sil. However, I did look them both over carefully online for specs and balance before deciding which I'd go hunting for. I chose the Spec based on:

1. Pickup configuration. There's no way I wanted to sacrifice the single coil p'up in the neck position. SSH fit the bill perfectly.

2. The appearence of the Sil's longer neck running onto the body plus the deeper cutway looked gawky or lanky to me. It didn't look balanced to my eyes. The Spec looked more thoughtfully integrated and balanced.

3. The additional 2 frets wouldn't be used by me. Saw no point in having them.

Silent Circuit was and still is pretty much a non-issue for me. I can see in certain scenarios, such as recording in confined areas near the amp or playing at very loud volumes (which I don't), that it might be useful. I carry batteries but leave the Silent Circuit "unloaded".

I'm sure the Sil is a fantastic guitar, just not as well suited to me.
