This is my "doomstick." Silo Spec HSS in metal flake green, this is the one I refer to as zombie green. Not in as pristine of condition as most of the ones on here, picked it up used (you wouldn't believe the price) but considering seeing what most my guitars go through would make most of you wince, the dings and scratches just add character for me. First pic shows it in its natural environment.

Yeah, I like mine. I don't even really bother looking at anything other than musicman these days. Seems like the other companies high end models keep getting worse and worse and the Asian guitars are getting better and better, so to me, if you are going to buy American, you should be buying mm... Just my $.02.

My latest

A trip to the beauty parlour was in order. New pickguard and cover. New parchment plastic to match pups. David Allen Johnny Blades pups. 5 position switch moved to stop me banging it out of the neck position.

Anyone ever put two humbuckers on a Silo Special? I've often thought about that and wiring it like a Luke or Axis Super Sport ?

The DiMarzio 36th are the closest to the Silo spec'd bridge PAF as was told by DiMarzio customer service. I have one in a frankenstrat I love and I am trying one in my Silo this week. Very even balanced response like the Silo bridge bucker. I bet a pair with a velvet single would be very nice. Just my 2 cents.

This is a low res of mine. I changed the pots and knobs and pickguard and bridge pickup to get it to the looks I desired. I really like it.
