I've never been a big fan of single coils or 22 frets, but I decided to bring in a couple Silo Specials and try my uber high pressure sales on a non-EB artist who is playing down the street in a few weeks. Maybe I can help convert her! I've also got an AL stashed away to put in her hands.

These siblings came in today and I just couldn't give the white one enough lovin. I haven't tried out the black one yet, that's tomorrow's biz.

OH WOW I NEED ONE!

Nice guitars, but they are missing two frets. Must be a defect or something.;)

I've never been a fan of matching headstocks with maple necks (Wife once said it made a guitar look like it was made by IKEA), but that white one is really nice.........horribly right-handed otherwise I'd have my credit card out right now!!
Myself I can't be doing with humbuckers for rhythm sounds so my Silhouettes are perfect (also I'm the only guitar player in the world who doesn't like flame, quilt or wood grain in general so I love the huge variety of solid colours).

Agreed, that white is really nice!

I truly believe that if I had one of every Ball model, I'd still wind up going to the Silo Special 90% of the time. I doubt even the AL would win me over like the silos do.

I love quilty goodness on Balls, especially those incredible blue water numbers, but every maple cap guitar I've tried has an edge to it that just isn't my tone. Give me a nicely seasoned alder body any day.

Hey Pete,

If those BFR AL's come out in Pinkburst and piezo, there's something in my sig I would consider moving to make room. ;)

Let me know if it might be of interest.

Candid, I think that if you tried the AL, you'll find it compliments the Silo Special and they both have the same type of feel, from my perspective.
