Timmons uses the Cruiser Bridge model in both his neck and middle positions.

He says the slightly higher output of the bridge model balances better with his bridge humbucker.

I found them a bit weak in the neck, but I'm happy with the middle.. that's why I swapped up to the fast track.

It is warmer than my Kinmans so I've lowered the bass side quite a bit to help balance it.

I have a 500K volume and 250K tone with the same value cap as you, but a bumble bee.

I'm very very happy with this set up.

I would think that the 250K tone pot would make it even darker sounding then with the 500K. Either way it is a great pickup and I am not expecting it to sound like a single coil. I really love he sound for solos...I guess it makes sense that it's called the Fast Track. I still need to swap out the stock humbucker for something smoother...maybe Air Zone...I've read some good things about this one.

I've ressurected this thread because I've gotten a set of cruisers (neck) for my red silo spec, and a FRED for the bridge. Anyone know what would happen to the tone if I used the following volume/tone pot value options?

1. 250k/250k
2. 500k/250k
3. 500k/500k

Anyone have sound clips?
