Oh what am I starting!!! :D
This is not which one is best. Because the obvious answer is......
I want to know which guitar do you think is most versatile as far as getting different tones, playing different types of music, etc...
We know the Morse would win this hands down, so we'll keep that guitar out of it.
I originally thought the Silo was the answer, but when I was thinking about the switch that the Pet has for the piezo, it made me wonder, since the Silo doesn't have that option! I think it's cool that the Pet could have the piezo and magnetic on at the same time. I know you could with the Silo but there's more control with the switch (I think anyways)
I know there will be some biased opinions as they may relate to what you love or own.
So what do you think???

For me, the Pet based on the feel of the neck. I played OC's Silo and I must admit, tonally....it is better for optioins. However, I get plenty of tones out of my Pets. I prefer the Pet, but the Silo is an awesome axe.

I dont want to get flamed for this but the one thing I cant stand about the pet is the floating bridge, I will not play a guitar with a floating bridge, I need to be able to drop D tune with no issues on stage, but the body is comfy on the pet and the neck is nice, a little wide for my hands though, thats why I play silos and axis's -

I've been wanting to try a Silhouette for a long time, but nobody has one in stock around here.

I am hoping to try one at the Open House (along with a Y2D) and order my next Music Man based on what I learn from the experience.

I own a Pet and it has some nice tonal options, but I think an HSH guitar like a Sil has nice options, too.

I think the solution is to own both.. that's what I'm figuring..

When and where is open house again?

It's at the Music Man factory in San Luis Obispo, California on September 17th. There is a party of sorts the night before (Friday the 16th), too.

Lots of threads, including the 'official' one about how to sign up, in the "Ernie Ball Special Events" forum here .

Hands down. The piezo mag switch on my pet gets in my way when I go to put my right hand on the fret board. The piezo volume knob is plenty of switch for me. If I need to full on mag to piezo on the fly I can just volume pedal out the mags and turn up the piezo quick enough. I don't need no stinking switch.

Then the way the controls are laid out on my silos are just good for me. Volume and tone swells are tougher on a pet cause the controls are just so far away. When others play my silos the first gripe is the controls are just in the way. Then they won't give me my guitar back.

Every time I switch from the Silo to the Pet and back again I always find myself saying, "dad gum! I really liked the way that one played and sounded." I am glad to have that problem.

Sometimes the trem (or my playing, or the dirt and sweat from my hands, or my not changing strings enough, etc...) will make the thing go out of tune. So I tune it.

I agree! :)

I still may buy a 7 string pet with Piezo at some point though. :)
