Pics Of My Silo/Tele upgrade.SD 56 bridge.Fender 52 neck.Wilkinson 3 saddle bridge.I like it so much I,m keeping it like this. The old white pickguard and 6 saddle Tele bridge are up for grabs,if anyone uses them and posts pics.

You said these modifications are totally reversible, right? Do you think it would work soundwise on an alder Silo?

indeed, a very interesting couple of mods goin' on with the Silocaster/Telhouette .... would love to hear it thru either an old Twin or an old Princeton Reverb .... heck run thru any amp and record it please ... :)

It sounds like a ash Telecaster. Same woods,just a different shape. Alder should be no problem. On this one I've committed sacrilege and drilled holes for the bridge fixings.But if I wanted to change back they would be hidden by the Silo bridge. I'm not going to go back though,I like it like this. I WANT this Tele tone,but the feel and comfort of a Silo. The old six barrel Tele bridge and white pickguard need NO mods to fit.No drilling or routing and so are completely harmless to your Silo. Still sounds like a Tele though.They are FREE to any one who wants them.Just post a pic after you fit them.If you dont like the mod ,refit your Silo parts and offer them to someone else.
