Chic! Nice!

Comparing the stock single coil sounds, the PDN is just a touch fatter or throatier, the standard is a hair brighter and cuttier. The upper mid/treble focus is slightly different. Very subtle tough, and if all I listened to was the first 20 seconds I'd swear the PDN was sparklier and the standard was throatier.

You really can't go wrong here. The silo spec is highly underrated for how versatile of a guitar it is. I'm still thinking buttercream. I would love to import one back to the US... Wouldn't that be a trip for CS if I hd to have it repaired... Lol

Hey guys!
many thanks, especially to gitvai for the sound samples and the yummy pictures. ;)
I also want to thank DrKev & jzeijen for the additional informations & details concerning both guitars.

Long story short:
I just ordered the 2012 PDN and will post some pictures and keep you informed as soon as the guitar arrives.

Again, thx a ton to all who contributed in this thread!

Congrats, I'm sure that PDN will be a great sounding beauty!

Interesting though, when I posted to get the DOB and etc for mine EB said it was white and under bright flash or photography lights it looks white but in natural lighting it looks buttercream.

Buttercream is yellow, undeniably so, as yellow as the butter I use every morning in fact, but difficult to photograph without lightening it. More yellow than any vintage white (including my buddy's '91 Stingray 5, which used to white as snow but is now almost as dark but more brown than my buttercream).

The guitar arrived!
And the guitar is stunning beautiful...
Just a quick photo with my smartphone - excuse the crappy quality but it is too dark.

Wow dude.... Confirms you made the right choice! Beautiful machine!

And the stripe in the grain of the fretboard gives me wood!

That is incredible. I wonder if I could have my silo special refinished in that color. Would anyone be able to replicate the honeyburst finish???
