A while back, when I was playing in a different band in my hometown, I cut my left hand index finger to the bone with an exacto blade while building a model the day of a show. It was right beside the finger nail, so it was to close for the doctor to stitch up. They wrapped it up so much that it basically looked like I had a tampon for a finger. The show was a really big show, so I didn't cancel. I tried to play just my middle, ring, and pinky fingers, but somewhere in the set I started using my index finger. I didn't even realize I was doing it until I started wondering why my neck on my bass was so slick. The wrap had fallen off, and I was bleeding all over the fretboard. After the show, I wrapped my finger in toilet paper and duck tape. I had some pictures from that night, and they were pretty nasty to say the least. Just imagine a maple fretboard covered in blood, and some blood splatter on the headstock and body. I don't complain, I do whatever is necessary to get the job done

Hey I aint gonna lie, I about cried from the pain after the show lol. I still have problems with it hurting from time to time. Now I have to deal with a blood blister under my left thumb nail that was cause by my brother dropping my new dishwasher on my hand when we were installing it

Beware of the man with only one bass; he probably knows how to use it.
