It's funny, BP, I'd heard everyone referring to the big poppa bongo but didn't know what it was, just thought it was some crazy special you had made. Plenty of folks have talked about the tone difference between the 4H Bongo and the twin pup ones but it was my first chance to find out what they meant.

It's nearly 3 years since I last played a 4 and I'd forgotten the sheer simplicity of it and that particular Bongo just kicks, it was so natural to play - I had the same feeling about it that I did the first time I picked up and played a Stingray (also a 4).

Please don't get me wrong: over the weekend I played the 25th 5 HSS, the Big Al, the Bongo6 and a Bongo5. I loved all of them - the 25th is a work of art and the B6 is sublime, it remains on my most wanted list - but the 4H Bongo rules.
