Jack, you're probably not wrong - and now I've Joined The Addiction(TM) I'll have a 5er and a 6er to look forward to in the future, and they may well be single H's
My eldest son is 10 and is learning to play drums and he's doing ok. We were "jamming" a week ago and I had the SR5 HH switch set in the middle, actually my favourite tone especially for recording stuff. After a few minutes he stopped and said to me "Dad, I can't hear you properly" and not wanting to turn the amp up any more I unthinkingly just flicked the switch to the back, selecting the bridge humbucker only. We started playing again and straightaway he said to me "that's it, Dad, I can hear you again now" - reminding me, bless him, why the bridge pup on a Stingray is the only one you need for playing live and cutting through the mix. I had this very much in mind when I was playing the Bongo 4H at the show.

Magnus, I owe you a heap of thanks, mate - you were the one who cut through the crap and indecison and said to me "Well why don't you just buy THAT one?"
So I did - and thanks to Pete and Nick for taking the offer to buy there and then on the stand seriously, my friend Nick of Soundsplus in Bury St Edmunds who retailed the deal for me and Andy of S&T for greasing the wheels of the deal - cheers to all. The bass is with Nick being cleaned up and checked out and I can't wait to get my hands on it

I feel blessed to have played & loved your new Bongo. Truly, it's made me fall in love with my own all over again. Absolutely top notch.
PS. It wasn't your grey hair that made me think you were S&T, it was the fact that you'd been on the Bongo ALLLLLLLLLLL day & not left the EB stand
