As far as the tonal differences between hardtail and trem are concerned, when I played the two maple-board 25ths at my local GC, I felt that somehow the hardtail one just more full, had more authority to its tone. It just sounded more "solid."

That's what I'm looking forward to finding out with the hard tailed Super Sport I ordered yesterday.

Again....fantastic pair of 25th you have!

As you'd expect, they definitely have different characters and personalities. The Brunette is a little quieter in her demeanor. She's a bit more conservative and reserved. The Blonde is more outgoing. She's less complicated. She's a bit more vivacious. I can definitely hear those things in their voices and the way they speak and sing to me. Still, I love them both.

oh my...

I doubt I've ever lusted for a pair of guitars more than this pair currently.

I have to agree with Rob's assessment of the differences in the 2 guitars. He was kind enough to let me play the Brunette last night and, as mentioned in a previous thread, I played the Blond the day he bought her. It's quite literally is like fraternal twin sisters... one dark, mysterious, and exotic... while the other is bubbly, out-going, and damn sexeh. In a break from my usual inclinations, I actually prefer the Blond mainly due to the hardtail.

put the rosewood neck with the darker body.

Rob,
congrats on an awesome pair...both drop dead gorgeous!

If you'd tape them together you'd not only be the only forumite around with two 25ths, you'd also have a one-off 50th Anniversary double-neck...:p

On second thought that might not have been one of my brightest ideas...

Thanks, guys! Thanks to Sterling, Dudley, Drew, Dargie and anyone else who had a hand in creating these great guitars. Here's to the next 25 years! :D
