Hey Guys,
I have been having a bit of a problem getting the sound I want out of my Mesa-Boogie 400+. I opted for it instead of an Ampeg SVT CL because of its versatility. I am running a Single H Stingray 5 through a Mesa Powerhouse 8x10 Cab.
I am happy with my tone, but i am looking for some new things to try and it seems like i still cant get an SVTish sound. I know its never going to be exact, but thats not what im looking for. I have heard of all kinds of things like A/B'ing both channels and running them at the same time. I havnt tried it, but since I am in a band that plays constantly, it is not often that i have time to experiment. ( I think it doesnt look that professional if I mess with my settings at gig volume after soundcheck at the club)
I posted this here instead of on a mesa forum because, the tone of the stingray comes through quite a bit, so unless your using a stingray settings won't help too much.
Thanks for your help.
