Slightly OT: Rodney Crowell

Jack whre's your arm? Where's the K-1?

I didn't want to bring it up, but I stole his wallet.

The K-1 was waiting at home. Rodney had just done two solid hours and then some local radio geek had him out amongst the fans, signing stuff and being nice to about half of Dallas. When he finally got backstage, I gave him your regards, asked him if I could have the Collins for safekeeping ("No"), took a photo and left him alone.

I gotta do some Crowell CD shopping, for sure.

Thanks again, masked man!

Cool pic Jack but have you ever considered purchasing an eyebrow pencil??

Is it just me or does Rodney look just a whole bunch like Sir Paul in that picture?

With the Bellamy Brothers I did a few shows with Rodney, he always had a top notch band. I remember one time a day or two after hurricane Hugo we did a gig together in Charolette NC,. The plase was a swamp,we all had to be taken to the stage by 4 wheel drive ambulances, He killed, we didn't do bad either.

He had a drummer that had all his head shaven except for a ponytail, cool look and if I ever go bald I'll shoot for that look for sure.

I just discovered that RC is playing The Mystic Theater in Petaluma, CA next Friday 9/23 while I'll be on "The Poophead Tour '05" in that area as well so I'll send in a report when I get back on 10/1. The Mystic is one of my favorite venues.

Thought I'd let you guys know Denny Bixby is now playing a Bongo 5 Buttercream single H.

Dude, if you want to go to the show give me a call and we can get you dialed in:

Was great Brian....thanks for the hookup. I'm just now back off The Poophead Tour '05 and am digging out from being away 2 weeks but I have many shots of RC and of Denny playing his new Bongo which I'll crop and post as I get time.

First, I see you've been to the Biff Memorial Optometry shop, Steebo.

Second, that was one hell of a good show, wasn't it? You like those two guitarists?

Did you ask Rodney if you could have the Collins acoustic he's playing?

First, I see you've been to the Biff Memorial Optometry shop, Steebo.

Ya, Karen took me out and made me buy two new pair of specs while we were on the road...that's the more Biffish set.

Then she also had me get these as well...no way in hell I'd have bought either set if she didn't make me but, well, you know.....
