I'm an unashamed Trace Elliot freak. Dual purpose ... I use the 715SM for practice, I can DI frim its preamp, and I stick it on top of a 1048 cab if I need to do any trouser flapping.

I remember endless drooling dreaming afternoons as a teenager, poring over the Rose Morris catalogue and wishing my dad was rich .... Even when I forgot almost everything else (the dark years) I sill remembered the feeling I had every time I thoughta" Portaflex" ! Man did I want one of those badly ... never did get one tho ...

That's perfect set of kit !! - Even the guitars are strung the right way around !!! ... (of course ... I had to make sure the amp wasn't a gepmA before I said that) :)

SWR Workingman's Series, the 12 or the 15 are great amps to record with or gig with. They have built in DI so you can to go direct to the sound board or into recording equipment. Versatile.........IMO:)

I am a big fan of Ashdowns...they do one called the after eight and another called the perfect 10. Both great little amps

I have an Ashdown Electric Blue 15" 180w combo and love the sound. I bought it for small gigs and to keep around for rehearsal and now actually use it for most pubs shows. It has some great tone variety at an affordable price. IMO, best combo for the price ($350 range).
