Thanks again for the compliments but I have to give thanks to Pete DuBaldo.

This DDIII mock-up was created from an Orange JPX that Pete did. Pete not only owns a music store but is well versed in PhotoShop as well.

This isn't like you... who peed in your Post Toasties? And the censor comment? You know full well you don't have free speech here, or any other forum where you are a GUEST.

Excuse me, it's called a DISCUSSIONforum. To be able to discuss, all points of view should be allowed to be spoken.

I really don't understand why EB is censoring if people have bad opinions. No other company's forum that is successfully managed is doing this. People should be allowed to comment badly about a product or how something is handled if they want and EB staff are supposed to answer that respectfully (yes, that's how doing business works - ocassionally you take crap from your customers, you just have to smile and learn from it). Either that or learn from the customer's criticism. I understand that a forum isn't a democracy, admins/staff decides. However, if you don't allow your members to post their opinions - even if it's a bad opinion. Deleting those posts only gives you more unhappy members/customers.

(I'm not saying this because I've noticed it myself, I have just seen other members post about it and thought I'd give EB a general advise about censoring)

Tanax, wtf ... you're picking up an old fight?

If you're going to jump to somebody's defense, Crimson Sunrise isn't your best bet ... he was banned for being a complete tool. Doesn't put you in good company.

Expressing ones opinion is fine...beating a dead horse isnt. Being respecful is a must. I dont get your post lecturing us on how to do business since we have managed to prosper since 1962 I really don t get the fact that nobody has censored or interfered with you and you post this ....this has nothing to do with the JPX and on most forums would be deleted as a hijack. There is a big difference between moderation and censorship. Constructive criticism is welcome keyboard warrior harshness is not acceptable. THere are thousands of guitar forums that are totally open. This is a CORPORATE forum for fans of our stuff.....

You havent been violated...You dont have a dog in the race and I think that you should have something to say about guitars

I believe the reason he addressed it here was because, and hopefully you will verify this, had he created a new thread to discuss this you would have deemed it "****-talking" and just deleted the thing altogether. Maybe I'm wrong and he's just coked out or something.

I agree with him for the most part though. I'm not going to tell you "how to run your business" as you've made it very clear that you don't care what anyone else thinks. I think that's why so many people are thrown-off when they first come here and have to "learn the rules". I'm only reiterating the fact that I've never seen a company go to such lengths on a forum to shut-down even the slightest criticism. It's always followed by a hodgepodge of 'the blame game' (blaming distributors/stores for QC, etc.) and talking in circles- often times led by people on this forum who don't even represent EBMM! I don't understand how a company can ever improve when they don't acknowledge their weaknesses from a customers perspective and I don't understand WHY they wouldn't want to acknowledge this. (Again, I know, you don't care  )

I know you're going to come back with something about how I don't know what goes on behind closed doors at EBMM and how customers are your no.1 priority, you offer them more this and that than anyone else, and something about when your dad created this company, etc. etc. I really don't care. The bottom-line is pretty simple- when I talk to random people at shows or wherever and they have an unfavorable opinion of EBMM because of Sterling Ball, that's really bad news.

Again, this is just what one guy thinks. Hopefully I don't get banned for my two cents :D

I think that's what Customer Service is for. You call, they do their best to resolve your concern, and its over. Here, UNLESS it gets deleted, it is available for everyone to read forever (basically).

You have totally missed the point.

This thread was started to give us a sneak peak of JPs new guitar. All of this crap was just a total hijack, unrelated to anything. Keeping it up means less reason for BP & Dargin to ever do it again and give us all sneak peaks of what they're working on. So thanks a lot- you're just making it tougher for the rest of us to enjoy the forum the way we used to.

It's pretty ironic that you're hijacking the thread to tell us what you think - that you don't care what Sterling thinks. I'll tell you what I think- Sterling rescued the little known MM brand and turned it into a successful business, making a high quality USA guitar at a reasonable price. Without Sterling's passion there would be no MM. If you think he's the problem with MM then you need a reality check.

Last time: every opinion is welcome here provided it's given with respect. When the douchebaggery starts ... that's when we start removing commentary.

His company, his rules. If you ask me, we're lucky enough to even have a forum such as this where they give us sneak peeks etc. to know what we can wait for.

I posted my opinion with utterly respect for you guys and you comment it with a "wtf". I have not insulted you nor anyone else at EB and have certainly not done any douchebaggery so I don't think I deserved that reply to my post! My point with that post was that he was under the belief that free speach was not allowed, maybe it isn't in this forum - but it should(under certain rules obviously, calling people idiots or alike should of course not be allowed. I was referring to saying one's opinion).

Also, I do not side with Crimson. Just because I disagree with someone who disagree'd with Crimson, doesn't mean that I agree with Crimson. But if I did agree with Crimson, would you ban me too? Just in case I would be a "tool"?

Once again, I'm not trying to offend anyone. I just want to know my.. uhm.. rights? What am I allowed to do and how you run this forum.

You have totally missed the point.

Indeed it was a thread about a sneak peak. I believe you are referring to the term "offtopic". Hijack sounds so vulgar. I did go offtopic and for that I'm sorry. As I said I felt that I just wanted to question him why he said that we don't have free speach(in a respectful manor - even if I sounded strict).

Expressing ones opinion is fine...beating a dead horse isnt. Being respecful is a must. I agree that one should always be respectful and as I've said I think 3 times now, I did not mean to offend anyone. I said what I said with complete respect for you guys. I did not mean to bash you, I only wanted to question the other guy. As I also said, I have not noticed this myself, I have only seen other people/members post about it.

I did not lecture you how to run a business, I have not run a business myself and have no experience in that so I'm definitely not trying to do that. I did however try to post constructive tips to you how to run a forum. I don't know, but I doubt you've had a forum since 1962. Once again, I really just want to give you tips. I've been a moderator on several forums aswell as owning one so I just wanted to post my side of this.

And no, no one had censored me when I posted that but as I said I had not noticed this myself, I had only heard it from others. However, it appears that you have altered my post. It would be really great if you wrote a reason too in the edit box when you edit the post, how am I otherwise supposed to learn anything from my mistakes?

Once again, I apologize for going offtopic(as opposed to hijacking).

I agree that keyboard warrior harshness should not be acceptable but I don't believe I did any of that. I posted - respectfully - my constructive criticism to you aswell as asking that guy a question and discussing it(although it was offtopic).

And as I said, I know several corporate forums that allows criticism like I posted right there. I do not know the rules of this forum regarding posting links so I'm not gonna link to anyone.

I haven't been violated, nor did I violate anyone - at least I didn't mean to - but I definitely felt like I wanted to join the discussion and post my side of "free speach". Once again, I did not say anything about the guitar because I went offtopic, sorry for that. Also I felt that posting about the guitar in a "sneak peak" when the guitar already is out seems kind of .. well.. I don't know.

I believe the reason he addressed it here was because, and hopefully you will verify this, had he created a new thread to discuss this you would have deemed it "****-talking" and just deleted the thing altogether. Maybe I'm wrong and he's just coked out or something.

I would never create a new thread to reply to someone's post like that.
And I certainly hope you won't be banned for posting that!

I think that's what Customer Service is for. You call, they do their best to resolve your concern, and its over. Here, UNLESS it gets deleted, it is available for everyone to read forever (basically).

So you mean EB should delete everything that is bad criticism? Are new customers not supposed to also see some bad sides of a company? Companies recieves bad reviews all the time, EB does not so often because they make killer guitars but they should not remove those few who actually does have a bad review. They might learn something from it, or the very least it will make a total fool of the one who posted the bad review if everyone disagree's :p

His company, his rules. If you ask me, we're lucky enough to even have a forum such as this where they give us sneak peeks etc. to know what we can wait for.

That's what I said. A forum is not a democracy.

Me too ...

Tanax, you're lumping everything together including my response to Willith ... er, StormRider. You certainly did hijack the thread- it's not about free speech, it's about the development of the JPX. We try to stay on topic with the threads we don't want diluted, like this one. Sounds to me like you're picking a fight for no particular reason, maybe I'm wrong. After all this forum is about guitars ... not free speech.

If you have an O/T discussion ... start a new thread please.
