I really don't understand why EB is censoring if people have bad opinions. No other company's forum that is successfully managed is doing this. People should be allowed to comment badly about a product or how something is handled if they want and EB staff are supposed to answer that respectfully (yes, that's how doing business works - ocassionally you take crap from your customers, you just have to smile and learn from it). Either that or learn from the customer's criticism. I understand that a forum isn't a democracy, admins/staff decides. However, if you don't allow your members to post their opinions - even if it's a bad opinion. Deleting those posts only gives you more unhappy members/customers.

(I'm not saying this because I've noticed it myself, I have just seen other members post about it and thought I'd give EB a general advise about censoring)

Um excuse me, but it's not YOUR discussion forum... so you don't have free speech here. How hard is that to understand? All points should NOT at ALL be allowed to be discussed. You want to discuss anything, go to Harmony Central... I for one am glad this place isn't like that. Somehow I don't think Sterling needs any advice on censoring... lol

As for you wanting to know the rules of what you can do or not here... It's not that hard dude. You just brought up an old argument that was dead... in a thread that was specifically created with a preview of something that JP wanted. It was asked that the criticisms be held off for that reason. Want the rules? Seems pretty simple. Do what the owner of the house asks. I'm sorry, but that's being an adult 101. How complicated does it need to be?

I know I'm not a mod, and I hope I'm not perceived as doing any armchair modding... I'm just seeing a crazy argument that defies...like... things I remember learning in 1st grade. No wonder kids don't listen to their parents anymore.

So, let me repeat myself...

Actually I havent deleted anything....and I think the wild talk should be there for people to judge.....

I could win all of you over by always agreeing with you and taking the shots....It isnt me....If everyone hates me why are we backordered and why is this forum so big?

What we will do in the future is show the preview of an artists creation and close it for comment. I dont understand how trying to show Johns guitar ends up like this.

Everybody relax.....its just guitars.

BTW Stormrider has now registered three times...I dont understand..His first one was banned...his second one was put in meserable users....and now the third one is difficult If we are so bad here why does he keep coming back?
BTW I didnt ban his any of the times....the mods did.

Wow.....I never bother much with JP threads as it's not the guitar for me (lots of other EBMMs are), but read some of this thread today.
The internet is a strange and scary place sometimes.

Well, since someone seems to still think they should have some legal right to say whatever they want about EB guitars on the EB forum, and can't seem to get that you've made it quite clear that you don't really want a bunch of "Why didn't you do what I wanted you to do...?" questions in these threads... that's probably about all you're left with unfortunately.

I can understand, and I suppose we all can, the questions that relate to understanding what event led to what decision. "why did you go with the 5 way? That's an interesting change... I'm curious as to what events led you down that path..." That's stuff we like to know... "oh, dude... we were messing with the wiring and found a way to do x, y, and z and it needed the 5 way...!!!" Of course, that's not the answer in this case... but that's the stuff I want to know.... and now, a few people have ruined that aspect, at least initially in the first threads, for everyone else.

God bless free speech... everyone be sure to yell fire in your local crowded movie theatre this week... We won't be able to visit each other in prison however, so it was nice knowing you all.

Funny how I always though the discussions of free speech in various government classes was merely an academic exercise.
