IF I can find all of the 7 sabre fans in one starbucks its a go!

Sounds like a special order situation to me, sir! I'm down for that... :D

This is a clip I ran into during my daily YouTube time that had me thinking:

I had the pleasure of running sound for the Radar Brothers last night. Their bassist, Be Hussey was playing a black sabre. I talked to him about the sabre and he told me he has a white one and a sabre guitar also. He has owned the white one since the 70s and said it has become quite yellow over the years. That is the reason he bought the black one, he got tired of looking at the old yellowish one. So, how was the tone? Not good, all boom and not any clarity. Especially C and most of their songs had that note in it. Very boomy!!! I mentioned how several people on here had asked about a remake of the classic and he asked why. He loves the neck and that is why he puts up with the tone. I can't remember the last time I ran sound for anyone playing a sabre, rare beast that it is.

Patitucci's Sabre sounds similar to EMG-equipped basses that I've heard and/or played.

pardon my ignorance, but what would be the difference between one of those Sabre's and a Stingray HH?

Slightly different body shape, different pickguard and control plate shape.

MM Sabre: different pickups, different preamp, 2 band EQ, phase switch, bright switch, PU switch (1&2; 1&2&3&4; 3&4)

EB Sabre: different pickups, 2 band or 3 band EQ, blade switch for PU coils: 3; 1&2&3; 1&2; 1&2&3&4; 3&4

EB StingRay HH: 3 band EQ, blade switch for PU coils: 1&2; 1&4; 1&2&3&4; 2&3; 3&4
