I got a price on my "perfect" Bongo!

4 string Bongo
Dual humbucker config
Piezo bridge
Envy green
Abalone pickguard

I won't post the price, because from memory the forum doesn't like people posting prices up here. But it will take approximately 4 months to come in!

I wasn't sure they could do it for me, because envy green was a LE colour, but apparently they can! I just have to wait ages for it

And if I do order it, in 4 months time I will have more than enough money to get it

So let me get this straight. Are they ordering you a bass from the EBMM factory or trying to find that bass for you? If they are ordering it, you are out of luck with the Envy Green. That was one of two LE colors(Radiance Red was the other) a couple years back. Radiance Red was eventually made into a stock color but Envy Green was discontinued. Sorry to break the bad news but look on the bright side, there are tons of other sweet colors to pick from.

CMC must try to keep up. Once the Envy Green period was over (and it was over quite a while back), there was no way to order one.

Over and done.

I love green basses, too.

So I feel your pain.

I had the same problem--red or blue. In the end, I went with Candy Apple Red, but you can't really go wrong either way. In my mind, I've changed to blue a couple of times, but I've fought the urge to contact Jack about making a call. I'd hate to be "that guy."

BTW, Radiance Red is an upcharge of $100 list US, and is really really red[i/]. In Spinal Tap terms, it could be none more red. So, consider the candy apple red.


Just remember that they're called "Limited Editions" for a reason.

Photos won't work. I demand a color sample. Please forward your bass to me once it is available. Besides, dropping it into that menagerie you call a Bongo collection without proper acclimation will cause the neck to warp, or something. Let it meet my 2 Bongos (safe, calm black and white) first before it is set loose amongst the flamey thing.....

It's one thing to drop a Bongo into a collection of other basses--it'll just find the biggest, meanest one in the bunch and kick it's ass. The others all fall in line pretty easily.

But, amongst other Bongos, it's got to have a fighting chance.
