Best thing about the AL is that NO ONE wants them. I guess its just a certain sound/tone to them, but most people want the traditional look. Ive found most dealers just want to get rid of them, which is fine by me!

My dealer must have been very lucky, with me coming in and special ordering one, and paying MAP for it. I know I could have paid much less if I would have found a nice minty one off of ebay, but I just had to have it in trans blue and there are very few trans blue ALs.

I can only speak for dealers I spoke too, (So that's almost all UK dealers!) Nobody has had an AL "on the shelf" that wasn't a customer order in over 9 moths, When I was looking for one, I got laughed at by every shop I called. The best comment was " yeah, and I want a crate of original tubescreamers sealed but that's not gonna happen either......"

Feel free to ship those annoying AL's over here (through the proper channels of course!) , one of the most suprising guitars on the planet.

My new AL....oh yes...$<PRICE_EDIT> out the door shipped NOS......plenty of birdseye, thought I would edit these into one page. Hardtail too, trems just dont work for me. :)

FYI: i editted your post to remove the price. one of the few rules here is that we cant post dealer (street) prices... retail price (MSRP) and used prices are all good tho.

and ps: for anyone who saw the original price on this post.... i got my NOS AL cheaper than that at Rocker Guitar in SF. they have a trans gold SSS AL w/o matching and tort for a helluva great price
