Call me crazy - and many people have, and continue to do so - but I like it. Trans gold top is very, very nice. And, the single coil just seems to fit-right-in. Bet it has some very sweeee-t tones waitin' to happen. :)

cheers always, eh

I'd say why not. It looks like a professional job and if it gives you the tone you're looking for go for it.

I can't tolerate stupid, but that looks functional. I'd have to hear it before I bought it though.

I wouldn't buy it sight unseen (eBay). But I sure would love to try it.

Yup I agree with the mod - if that's what you want then it's your guitar to do as you please.

As long as other people are willing to accept the mod then nothing is lost - the bids on that one,are creeping up too!

I am all for mods and that looks like a very nice and professional mod. I would love to hear the tones of the added pup. Cool find.

emanon...you thinking of getting this?

It has crossed my mind, no doubt. As crazy as it sounds if it was an MM90 Axis with a middle pickup I'd be all over it.

I'd totally dig those two. I'm not sure if the stock humbuckers split well, though. But I love my Silo HSH, the single coil there is a blessing, probably my favorite position on it's own. The pink one is too hot!

I say OK:D

It's a valid and useful mod that looks like it's been professionally done. It'll probably affect the resale value should you want to sell it further on down the road, but equally if you get it for a good price now, what's the fuss ?

Looks really nice. If I didn't know better (and I do), it looks like it left the factory that way. I wonder how it sounds.

Have to agree with the other guys. I think it looks pretty good. And seems to be a pretty good job. And lets face it, I'm sure we've all seen worse mods than that.

Even though, I like the mod, I don't think I would have done it on the Pink EVH. The guitar is too valualble to do something like that. IMO.

The mod was really well-executed, no doubt!

But I dont really like having too much pups on an axis. The shape of the axis to me is like a scaled down/electric version of a jumbo acoustics guitar. In my opinion, less is more here. Call me a mainstream bum but a HSH is best suited to a silo or some other makes' super strat models.
