I haven't seen this jack issue brought up, but I thought I'd screw around with the idea of a single cable running both signals and had some four conductor cable and two hours later I got this vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

Doesn't the Piezo jack carry both signals all by itself (when used with a TRS cable)? If so, then you don't really need this device, although it does look hella-cool.

I plan on running the piezo into an effects unit and sending the stereo out of the effects to two powered monitors and the magnetic will run into my standard system

There is no stereo output per se, on the guitar.

The 'stereo' jack has the Piezo signal on one side and the magnetic pickup signal on the other side.

If you use a stereo (TRS) cable in that (piezo) jack, you need the other end of the TRS cable plugged into a splitter box, or have a cable that goes from stereo on one side to two mono 1/4" plugs on the other side. (One mono plug will be the Piezo signal, and the other will be the magnetic signal.)

In this scenario, you don't need to use the guitar's 1/4" jack for the magnetic pickups at all... just the piezo jack.

The other option is to use two separate mono cables, one in each of the guitars jacks, and one will be piezo and the other magnetic pickup.

This cable acts like two independant mono cables it just combines the two into one cable ,btw the other end is a TRS that will plug into the back panel of my rack where both signals will be split to their specific destinations ;)
 
Sapph: Ahh, now I see what you're doing with it. That's cool! I'm thinkin' about getting one of those Ernie Ball splitter boxes.. they're cheap, listing at like $25 or so.. so what the heck, right?
