So I got a call from the Lemon..... Killer Story....

Very shortly I shall announce a thread that will blow your socks off....


But for now I've got a killer story, I was in meetings and had a missed call from Blind Lemon, so I called him back... his direct personal mobile phone number is 07..... just kidding ;)


Phone call goes a little something like this


BL: Hey Smelly,

Smelly (Singing) I love Blind Lemons, I love Blind lemons.....

BL: - I have a question to ask you....

Smelly Yes?

BL: - you're guitar is in the UK

Smelly WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO - YEEEEEHAAAAWWWW

BL: - Pay attention

Smelly: - ok

BL: - We're helping out one of the guitar mags with a review of the HH AL and we were going to send the one from stock, but....


Smelly: - yes.....


BL: well...........

Smelly: - Yes......

BL: - How do you fancy us putting your guitar to them and it'll be on the front cover of guitar buyer....

SMelly: - HELL YES!!!! - You Are amazing Mr Lemon.....


BL: - and we're doing buy one get one free so I'm sending you a 2nd HH AL on the house (this bid didn't hapen - I'm using artistic license to just make stuff up!!!) :D



So boys and girls of Knucklehead-ville how cool is that??? My Very special Very one off and Very last - Ball will be on the cover of a guitar Mag!!!!! - It means I have to wait another week for it - but what the hell - that's amazing!!!

Thank you Blind Lemon your successor and Strings and Things has some big old Lemony boots to fill!!!!

great news ill make sure i check it out. but doesnt that mean someone else gets to play it before you do. i take it there reviewing it while they have it. also do s&t think its wise to advertise a colour that doesnt exist. endless hassle of people trying to order lake placid blue .ahead. sorry to put a slight downer on it mate but . it was the first thing that came to me. looking forward to seeing it though.

Now thats fing awesome Mr. Smelly:cool:, I would say yes in a heartbeat, you sir had a cool guitar coming, now you have a super cool guitar thats imortalized forever, sweet, must find a copy of this mag when it comes out, keep us posted your smelliness:D

Wow Smelly, those really are some cool news and well worth the extra waiting...it will look stellar on the cover and I can't imagine anything but a killer review. Congrats, now your HH AL is super extra special!

Blind Lemon is one of the guys at Strings n Things.

On top of his "normal S & T activities" Pete has done a lot of work in the past in organising Knucklehead bashes, and getting top notch artists at the parties.

He's gonna be retiring from S & T.

I'll try again to organise a "drink/meal" at Olympia London in November to give BL a send off, but sadly the response last time I posted a thread was disappointing. :mad:
