That Photo alone isn't too much help for there's so many ways he could have wired that pickup, It's an easy wire Job once you pull the cover off and Use an Ohm Metter, But Like our friend suggested Call on Dr. Gav, lol He has a wonderful site. DJ

None of those wires look original to me. Here's a Stingray pickup for comparison. For parallel you need the short two from coil to coil like in the pic and the black attaches under the orange, and the white under the green.
thanks for all the replies! i've already looked on Gav's site but i was hoping to do as little thinking/work as possible 
here's some more pics (sorry my camera sucks):
green and red
orange and yellow
if my understanding of pickups is right all i need to know is which two are the hot and which two are the ground. then i wire them in parallel and i'm all set.
right?

If you don't think you need help then why are you asking, Here's a Fresh 1977 Pickup I just pull from a 1977 Stingray. Hope this helps.
