so I put new pickups in my AX40

I love this guitar, but I wanted to put in some new pickups... something clearer... I did some research and found out that my best bet would be Dimarzio AT1 in the bridge and Air Norton in the neck.

So far, I'm glad that I did.. the AT1 is a lot hotter than I was expecting, but both pickups balance well with each other.

The best part is that they are clear and dynamic... just what I wanted!!!

Just for the record, I didn't mind the stock pickups at all... they just weren't as refined as I wanted them to be.

that's the one good thing about the AX40 - it performs no matter what pickup is firing!!!

Interesting combo - I wonder what influenced that decision.

I haven't tried the AT1 but I've heard good things. The Air Norton is a killer neck pickup. Mine hasn't left my Silhouette in a loooong time.

I found that the At1 was alot weaker then the stock bridge pickup.

Maybe I just got a duff pickup, im thinking about calling dimarzio to exchange it.
