norrin, I'm very happy that you compared it to a CU 24, because ten years ago I used to play a 87' CU 24 wich was one of the best guitars I've ever owned, and my 20 th really reminded it to me, but with something more...

now I know I was not wrong...

and you know what? I sold the PRS to buy my very first music man, a silo spec HSS...I was 18' and ten years later I came back to this model...all in between was nice but...the real deal is the silo for me...silo, silo spec, silo 20th, whatever silo, but silo !!!

anyway...I know we all like differents tones and designs, but everybody seems to agree that the 20 th is extraordinaire (I know you guys know this french word...) so my advice is....buy it, of course !!!

THe secret is in the tone blick and maple top.

If you kliked it so much......How come you didnt buy it?

GC would hate me advertising this but if there is still on ein your neighborhood store ...grind on them because they probably dont know what it is and dont like inventory sitting in the store this long. Same with the 30th Stingrays.....if you find one be aggressive and you will probably get a killer deal. It will be shop worn...if you want a pristine one guys like Pete will take real good care of you and it will be perfect.

Well those people had better act quickly, we only have two 20ths left, one tremolo and one hardtail piezo. Check our website for details Ernie Ball Music Man Instruments
(or do we?)

Hands down the 20th Anniversary Silhouette is the best sounding guitar I have ever heard/played/experienced

+1...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had that thought! :D Strictly out of curiosity, mind, can anyone who has played both a maple and rosewood 20th speak to their sonic differences? Strictly out of curiosity...

and (here's the surprising part - especially for me) through a Mesa Boogie Stiletto. WOW!!!   Now, I am not, by any stretch, a Mesa fan, but dang! It just rocked awesome with the Silo!

Norrin,
I can second that feeling. The 20th sounds awsome with my setup... I'm really glad I snagged one when they were available.

Great looks, great sound, great guitar.

I was hoping these facts would go unnoticed until I got the chance to jump on one. :p

This is exactly my plan with the 30th SR. I know where a few are in my neck of the woods, and when I get the $$$$, I'm going to get one.

Sorry, Monday is my day off from the music store. I did have a late biz meeting tonight, hence the delay (workin on throwing another all-day music festival). I received your emails and will reply shortly, no worries :D

Yes, and I still have my own balls. Thanks again for the special brownies, K! Time for a new thread, I took pics before but haven't posted them yet ;)

No problem...just being silly. I've never considered getting a ball from anyone but Pete.

Did that sound a little funny? :D

The 20th certainly is a tone machine, so unique, i'm very glad i had the chance to buy one last year. Very classy guitar.

It's my most favorite guitar now. The tone is incredible.
