Sorry BP, I just sounded like an issue I ran into at a Guitar Center. I was trying to get him to talk to Customer Service to confirm if it was problem or not. There were two Identical basses at this GC. One sounded correct the other one did not. I will fix my previous post to clarify it. I never met any harm.

No offence to BP at all, but if its a $1000 bass, and I need help with something, yeah, I think customer service should help me with anything. Thats why they are there. And if it was a non-issue, then there would be nothing wrong with the bass in the first place.

OK Bruce....I actually know the real Bruce....

Read my sig....contact customer service before posting issues here..... ... no offense but I own the company and personally gave you the first solution to try. IF that doesnt work then please do what I have only said over 10k times contact cs...dont ask strangers to diagnose your problems, it only makes our job harder. Entitlement tends to alienate.

I will not answer any more stuff in this thread.

The thing I keep waiting to see is ... "Ok, I tried the suggestion BP and others made. I've set the heights of both pickups as per factory specs given on the FAQ, which took about 20 seconds, and the result is ...". Oh Bruce Jenner, why hast thou so resisted this wisdom?

Oh wait ... Silver Bongo 4HS, with Stealth Black neck/headstock ... mmmmmmmmmm ... BP, PLEASE make Silver available!

A looooong time ago I replaced the bridge pup in my old Strat with a Seymour Duncan pickup. It sounded great, but was really low volume. I swear it took me over 10 years to realize that I put it in way too low. (Back then I only played metal, so I pretty much just used the bridge pup anyway.)

Well I'm a big fan of the EBMM Single coil, I love it on my Sterling and Bongo. I use it soloed most of the time.

I was practicing Dream Theater's "Home" on my HS 20th SR5 last night and I honestly couldn't get enough of the single coil. Maybe I had blanked it out of my mind or something, but I had totally forgotten how awesome the single coil pickup sounded when soloed with the switch in the closest to the neck position. Played with my fingers right over the single coil and it gave me this bright grindy spang-spang that was out of this world! :D

The single coils on my Bongo and 20th SR5 sound wonderful. I love soloing them for blues work and good ol' fingerstyle grit.

Magnus, be not unkind to thyself with the grindy grindy spat spat fluids. The sting just kills the mood.

My grindy grindy spat spat days are all spent anyhow.

I am only too happy I wasn't grindy grindy when reading this, or I'd have stingy green stuff all over my comp:D

I admit liking the tingly sting, but rather suspicious of the buildup at the mouth of the bottle, wonder if Maddog can explain what that stuff is?

And who started this off topic stuff anyway?
