Well the EVH hasn't been made for many years, so that's probably a good indication that they're not going to be making any new models ...

Anyhow ... don't sweat it. Nobody was rude to you ... just pointing out the lay of the land. Smiles man.

It's kind of like talking with your wife about the good times you had with an ex-girlfriend.

Stick around and have some fun, there are lots of good folks here!

It's just so much easier to not leave these threads open. BP and Eddie had a business relationship. It worked for a while. Then it stopped working. A lot of the guys here know BP well enough to know what his handshake and his word mean. It's not rocket science, figuring it out.

The other thing you might not think about is that at least one guy who posts here occasionally is still friends with Eddie. And BP. After all this time, things reach a certain level, an equilibrium, between all the people involved. So a bunch of us talking on and on - speculating, really - about EVH and the signature guitar and whether or not....well, whatever, whatever Eddie is up to, it's just that: speculation.

These are real people with real friends and real relationships and kids who know each other - not just ethereal public figures, rockstars, whatever.

So if I close your thread, please understand that it's not because I'm a Thread Nazi or because I don't like you or any of that. I'm trying to keep things on an even keel, nothing more, nothing less.

Pointed in the right direction, as it were.

Thanks for entertaining me here.

I'll leave this open for a while, okay?

But if you haven't seen the EVH thing beaten to death, search the forum and read up and then decide if you really want to make me hunt down and kill your thread.

I really cant win. I tried to be really nice and just say that it is a water way under the bridge.

Your post wasnt bad it just is malignant....the venom and defense get nasty.

Do some searches and then maybe your feelings wont be so hurt. (For the record you attacked eddie for being greedy and I approached it as if you praised him....)

I'm really sorry man...seriously. I'm just a 40 yr old EVH fan that is pretty frustrated with him. I simply am defending EB because that's the only guitars that I will ever own/buy...I'm being honest there also. I know Eddie has been taking a ton of heat these days, but alot of it..in fact most of it, is all self-inflicted. I was just venting out loud and I need to not do that...it's just absolutely painful to see my #1 influence play and act in the matter he does these days.:(

God help him

You can delete this thread now...but first tell me about the BFR Axis':)

Remember that about 99% of what you hear about anyone "in the spotlight" is someone else's opinion. And probably an uninformed opinion. Opinions, we know what those are like.

The music, the work - listen to that instead.

Now, let's have these guitar players tell you about the BFR guitars.

Lads?

Lord Toneking....thanks for not getting too bent out of shape on the said subject. Keep in mind, we are rabid EBMM fans and Big Poppa wants to move on with said subject as he and his company has produced many many great instruments since then.

BFR Axis? Hmmm....I seem to recall something like that. I know there were some koa top Axis' made and I believe they sported the Ball Family Reserve inlay. I am not 100% sure.

Foggy...I know you have a pic of what I am talking about.

I would love to see more BFR Axis' to be honest. But, let's take a step back for just a second. Do we need a BFR Axis? The reason I ask is this....the tops coming out on them now are top notch. We don't even need to question the feel and tone...they are awesome as they are now. But, I am not the boss, and if BP and company want to put out special run BRF Axis', that would even be better. I like the mahog tone block and think it should be in all the guitars. But, I am a customer who wishes for everything...and don't know the business....lol

Check out the other BFR products. They are simply stunning. An Axis would be cool to see more of.

I'm more interested in hearing about the sixtyfour Signature line I'd like to see. I have some requirements for my signature model that will include but are not limited to the following:

- Predictive pitch correction that anticipates the player's intent and automatically produces appropriate and tasteful notes

- Built-in Soul-Groover (TM) Rhythmic Quantizer Mk III. The final design of this feature should make Lawrence Welk sound like James Brown.

- Mystical Gloves of Wanktitude that grant the wearer Level 15 Yngwie Dexterity

- Built in contraceptive device as the chicks won't be able to keep away from the player of this magnificent instrument.

Only problem is...Foggy is next in line for a signature....so, you will have to wait...;)
