Hey Bryan, dare i say it..... Your cat is wicked pisser! Ha!!!! Thats my catch phrase for all us Bostonian or New Englanders. I actually have a siamese cat too! Well its one of three. My favorite one is the old one called Fatsy, his name speaks for itself!

Thanks, Eric. Buttercup is a Minskin - half midget Munchkin and half hairless Sphinx. The breed was developed in Boston, so "wicked pisser" is a great description of her. She comes running like a dog when I call for her.

I have an early 60's Watkins Rapier guitar that is missing the decal. Despite many attempts - contacted many people who are the legacy of Watkins and no joy. I have a poor scan of it and I have been in contact with Browndog to see about sharpening up the image I have, to create a decal so that I can refurb the guitar. It's all good fun eh?

Spud, I may be able to help you with this. Are you looking for the headstock logo/decal or the pickguard decal? I'm assuming headstock…

And just to clarify for anyone interested, the decal company does vinyl decals suitable for vehicles for instance. I see a ton of apple decals on cars (guilty). I will be getting a MM decal made for my truck. PM me if anyone would like the company info.

**EDIT** after looking just now I found this Spud: Watkins Rapier Guitar - replacement head stock sticker/transfer/decal | eBay

Looks like you can just order one already made but if you still need help recreating the decal, lemme know!

Just bought my first Music Man guitar: a 2006 Silhouette Special in Medallion Gold. I already like it better than my american strat!

These are the seller's pics...maybe I'll post better after I scrub all the player crud off it.

How the hell did that post of mine wind up on this thread as it should be on the Mayer leaving Fender one?Unless it got doubled, Kev could you delete it as it seems moronic considering it has nothing to do with this threads topic. Sometimes it is 5:30 am when I post and I am woken with my face in the keyboard lol.

Now getting on topic. I am amazed at how many Fender players become EBMM players (once they play one) way more then any other company. I am still a Fender fan as it is the company I played as a kid and 20+ years before buying my first EBMM.Though the first few years I have no idea what bootleg imported Tele's and Strats came from as it was early to mid 70's so my guess would be Japan. When I buy a guitar I would always make sure it was a keeper, which is why I still own the Fenders I have. Being a big Brian Setzer fan from the moment I heard The Straycats I had to get a Gretsch 6120 back in the 80's. My friend who worked at Sam Ash at the time called me up to tell me someone just traded in a vintage model in great shape and I couldn't get there fast enough. He had it in the back for me and the minute it was in my hands I almost paid and left. But my adrenaline came down and I said let me plug her in and play=shock! I sat there for over two hours with a guitar that was the weirdest feeling guitar I ever held and the Bigsby felt like it was a Moped kick stand(remember those) welded on. Being young and crazy it was one time I used my best judgement ahd handed it back as it was a lot of scratch back then or today and I knew I was not going to bond with it. I have never owned a Gibson guitar and one of my best friends two blocks away owned 5 or 6 so anytime I wanted to borrow one I would just walk over. I do like a LesPaul and the tone of one especially but they weigh a ton and I never felt the need to own one. When I finally decided I needed a true humbucker guitar I figured I would be coming back with a LesPaul but picked up an EBMM EVH model and it felt like home and played like a Tele on Steroids and that's what I bought. I was a fan of Ed's but that played no part of the purchase as my two favorite players at the time were Beck, Hendrix, and Setzer. When Ed went over to Peavey I did buy two Wolfgangs and keeping it real they were solid guitars that I still own with my EBMM EVH sigs. The last decade + the only guitars I have bought have all been EBMM models and I really don't even bother looking at anything else. Almost every guitar I ever sold or traded was with me for at least a decade or longer and I do regret selling my Olly White Clapton Strat when I offed four Fenders during the RM/BS run.I bought that new in 01 and for some reason the bridge pup just died after a year. So instead of waiting a few weeks for Mike to order a replacement he had a Beck Hot Noisless in stock and I made him throw it in, and it changed the guitar in a very good way. I should of offed a Tele I had instead, as every Clapton I tried as a replacement wasn't even close and I am not going to buy one to try the same experiment as that has back fired on me a few times through the years.. Also after getting back into playing the last month and hitting the forums I had no itch for anything new, but this forum is like guitar crack lol and there are two guitars that I now have to get! I try to keep up with goes on in the guitar loop and honestly no one pushes the envelope and is on the same wave length in what I personally like as EBMM!

what a lovely lovely SS nice!!
thank you. I figured no one on this board liked medallion gold and that's why no one commented...it looks incredible in person. Needs a little TLC and, since I drive by San Luis Obispo pretty much every month, was thinking about dropping it off for dressing/set-up and whatever (gotta call them and check the cost).

I still have never heard a guitar quite as good as an LP for distorted/hard rock. I have a 2002 LP with a weight relieved body (no chambers) that sounds so incredibly tight and crisp...unfortunately, the neck is on the smallish side for me (it's not even "slim taper") and I prefer 25.5" scale.

Only guitar I ever regret selling is my first strat. It was a white 80s japan strat with a Kahler "Traditional" double locking trem. The bridge was made from cheap pot metal and pieces started breaking off within months. I sold the guitar in disgust, but what I didn't realize was that trem was just dropped into a standard vintage size trem route...so I basically could have just salvaged the guitar with a vintage trem. Guitar probably wasn't as good as I remember it...but it was may first good guitar and would like to still have it.
