I will reserve judgment until I hear him play "Mustang Sally" for the 80th time in one week at a bar that smells like stale beer and old hookers.

(he does SEEM to be talented)

That was better than most people I hear who use their thumb. 97 times out of 100, I simply hear a popcorn machine. That was actually musical.

He can slap, which I can't/don't, but from what I've seen in guitar shops and at bass player GTGs lots of guys can slap as well as that. Personally I don't think that tone is a particulary good advertisement for what EBMM basses actually (there's that word again) sound like. IMHO, YMMV etc.

Played an SR4HH last night at GC San Francisco in that sky blue color, had a great looking maple neck on it too, man, that is/was a sweet combination. Didn't take her home, but kinda was tempted.

Marks officially joined the EBMM family of artists! Derek and I have sent him a few basses, and some cobalts - he'll be doing some cobalt and MM videos (as will our great pal Mr. Stanley Sargeant!) - Stay tuned...

i thought it was insanely killer. maybe the first bit of slap wacka wacka ding dong i ever heard with serious melodic / harmonic content at the core. I'm gladly willing to overlook the less than stellar onboard camera mic audio / compression, and digg the fact that i get to hear someone doing something new and making a new sound on bass. i know what that rig sounds like properly miked, and that guy scares me. hope he never moves to nashville. good one collin!!
