First things first, OP asked a genuine question, then gets piled on for no apparent reason.
If any one was out of line it was dude who came up with the "I dont even know what you are talking about" comments.
nice, keep it to yourself then!
I would expect to see one of those go for maybe a little more than any other Sub. But honestly, rare finishes don't seem to drive the price up for anyone except the seller. To everybody else it is just another overpriced instrument on Ebay/CL. So then it sits there and the seller tweaks the ad but keeps the price the same. And it doesn't move.
Thing is most bassists and guitarists don't spend hours online researching the various different finishes and options that were extant during different eras. They just like certain colors and certain guitars. Heck some dont even care about those two. They just care about the playability.
So with the used market being a little slack lately, if you were thinking you might have a gold mine there, you dont.
Best bet is that you can maybe get $500 or so for it. But the last Sub I bought started at $500, kept dropping in price until I grabbed it at $280! (I do watch CL like a hawk though)
If anything I think the white subs are rarer and more sought after. Also the passive versions seem to be more in demand as well.
I woudl hold on to it if I was you. They are great instruments and will likely appreciate in value over the next ten years or so. All it takes is a one hit wonder prominently featuring a bass in their video to gin the price up.
Remember when Jazzmasters were the cheap Fenders?
