Solid Rosewood Neck Stability

OLi We dont plan on painting over the rosewood that people are paying a premium for...fretless...why would we offer a rosewood fretless when it is not durable? It is pretty clear....these are fun little collectables

I negociated a good price with my dealer for a Sterling BFR five string in natural finish with tort guard.

Anyone know how a solid rosewood neck will standup to time. Any integrity problems with warping or twisting?

And I will guess what BP meant: That since the RW necks are available for a limited time they will be kind of collectibles, much like the dargies.

more stable than maple, which is renowned for warping.

That rosewood not being durable thing is because fretless rosewood boards get torn up by rounds, not because the wood is 'not durable'.

Me too, Koogs....I keep imagining a fiver version of BP's rosewood neck Bongo....and then I remember I have to pay for the family to go to Lima, Peru, in January and that's the end of that.
