Now there's a sentiment I can appreciate. Thanks for understanding.

Jack

What, no fart jokes? :D ;)

Sterling, thanks for airing this out. It turned my stomach to see those people believing Steve to be an angel in this. I don't think it was necessarily blind loyalty on the customer's behalf, it was just how much they were threatened and ridiculed when asking a simple question about the whereabouts of their money/instruments.

Thank you all for being so understanding. Jack needs a big big martini tonight.

Silver, I hope your issue comes to a good resolution as well.

So do I, so do I.

In fact, I have hoped that everyone involved here could come out the other end holding hands and singing campfire songs. Some of us go way back.

It ain't working out that way but hey, for some reason I don't get to control other peoples' behavior. Life sure would be easier!

I, too, am banned from that place (again.) This is all such a shame.

I do love this place and the people that make up our community here.

I sure do, but I've given up drinking during the week. That's right, weekends only.

(I need to be sure I'm okay with rules like that. Got some alcoholism in my family history, don't we all?)

I still don't know how I ended up being involved with such a great bunch of people, but I can't thank you guys enough - company and forum - for making both my virtual and real life so damned cool.

If I had a forum with rapidly declining participation I would ban the few remaining members. (save them the hassle of having to get the office supply deal of the week or ladies fashions or "O-ring of the month click through club"..

Well Jack, I ain't holding your hand thinth we're not out to thea thailor boy.

LOL@ Frank

All this Internet stuff happening and Steve's computer couldn't keep track of the orders that were going through his business.

Hard drive failure is simple compared to all this.
And just as silly as not backing up a computer is IMHO

LOL @ Sterling

I knew mine was one of the first ones done. I also knew the full story. At the time, with the potential of everyone's bass/guitar deliveries being jeopardized, I thought the best course of action was to be placating and non-confrontational to my dealer. I knew the facts on the status of my bass when I called Steve to check on it, but didn't confront him because of his compromised state. I thought it would make the process less painful for all concerned if I didn't raise a stink. I really hate that it had to come to this. For everybody.

Don't thank me, Frank. Continue to thank Sterling, Scott, Beth, Aziah, Jack, and anyone else whom I've forgotten. Remember, I have my DD sitting in the room with me, after all.

Oh, don't kid yourself, he can be a mean one. One time we were in Waffle House and Ben actually stomped a waitress to death for putting margarine, not butter, on his pancakes. Now in his defense, he was clear about his desires, but still, we all thought it was a tad excessive.

No, no, I'm making that up. Well, most of it. She didn't actually die.

No no. I asked for oleo and got margarine. Don't make me sound like I just flew off the handle for no reason.

larry was allegedly being punished for asking the status of a bass he knew was done.

Ooops, I edited my post, but yes, Larry's bass was one of the first ones off the line and he was left with sitting there with his....um, Bongo in his hand.

Stanky got Larry's bass! Stanky got Larry's bass!

Now it can be told.
