Hi everybody.

Just wanted to let you know that I've just uploaded a new video to YouTube, featuring my fretless Bongo. Hope you find it useful! :)

Very nice. What setting are you using? (EQ, pickup balance.)

Thanks, man. Both neck and bridge PUs are full, and same for piezos. Bass EQ is also full blast and everything else (lo mids, hi mids and highs) are around 70%. Volume knob around 40%. The bass is plugged to my Kustom KBA30 practice amp, which line out is plugged to my sound card (SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Platinum). After recording my performance with Sony SoundForge, applied one pass of normalization to the wave and then replaced the camera's audio track with the direct recording from my amp.

Cool. That's what it sounded like: both pickups full on plus piezo.

Gotta love Rocco, man. So hard to keep those 16th steady. I had the pleasure to meet him at Bass Day (around 2000) in New York, and was astounded on how efforlessly he plays, and his timing is just sick. His tone at the time, though, a P-Bass through a G-K 2000, was not very good. . .

I notice you've got a sweat band/hair scrunchy/??? mute on the headstock end of the neck. Every pic I've seen of you, it seems to be there.

Can you comment? Why? How do you use it?

Well, actually I don't use it that much with my fretless since I seldomly play tapping stuff there. Anyway, these videos will give you the answer, Andrew:

As always, fantastic!

My only criticism is that with the fretless it is difficult to know exactly what notes you are playing.

I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
