Axis hardtail sounds pretty darn cool as well. good idea.

A little off track...I would also like to see maybe a Luke shaped Basswood EBMM guitar as well.

I own one hardtail Axis, and have owned another. I find the tone to be very close to the Floyd Axis. It may be just a hair darker than the Axis, but not by much. I think that's the one area where the FLoyd does affect the tone. The Floyded models are a little brighter.

Cool.

Now when is someone gonna post clips with the differences?!

I assume that the 'feel' is more different than the tone?
Should be more slinky feeling with all the added string length and maybe a hair thicker?

I know the Axis hardtails exist, that's why they should make them an option. The designs are already made. In my mind, that seems like it could work.

OR, make the tremolo arm from the floyd pop out easy, with the screw underneath. no time for that.
