There'd be a lot more fools here if there were 35,000+ members, too.

I sort of think of TB the same way you guys do....but there is an awful lot of truth in the above statement.

Without mentioning names, we've had our share - and we aren't at 35K.

I don't want to think about moderating that kind of number.

yeah but the issue is, if TB is going to let people sell instruments all over their forum, don't they have some sort of regulations on *false advertising*?

It's "you pays your money and you takes your chances", Beth. They do have a feedback system but nothing to prevent someone from claiming - just for instance - that a current finish is discontinued.

Like that claim is a big selling point - "my bass is finished in a color so unpopular that it's been discontinued".

Don't ask me.

Most of the potential buyers on TB have enough sense to do some legwork and find out if those claims are true.

I think.

I remember when there were no SR5s on the shelves and customers were waiting six months just to see what the dealers had ordered....and maybe there was something and maybe there wasn't, but if you wanted one, you had to think way ahead! This is how I ended up with that poor ugly bastard Heinz.

Not that this was a bad thing. Ahem.

I like where we are right now. The wait time is not too bad, considering everything that's happened over the last couple of years, and keeping in mind that you guys don't build a bass until it's ordered. I will restrain myself from mentioning what the wait time is with other 'manufacturers'.

The 'obsessed punters', and I am one, are pretty fired up about the Green Meanies. I guess it's fair to say that Gibson or John Hall wouldn't have just said, "Okay, if it will shut you guys up, let's do it."

This is a pretty good place to be, I think, at this point in time.

But, if I were you, I still wouldn't turn on my PMs.

Yep. Very true. This will shut me and probably Worthington up for good.

Very soon the majority of basses I own will be EBMM basses, and I'm very happy about it.

Between the MG HB Bongo I already own and the Stealth single coil/ HB Bongo, the 30th Anni SR and the Sterling/DD HH that's coming I'm a pretty happy boy.

Hey, wait time for an MM ain't too bad. Rickerbacker OTOH wants you to wait for the tree to grow before they make you a bass.

Well, as a dealer for several other manufacturers all I wil say is that dealing with EBMM has been a very refreshing turn of events for me. On time (sometimes ahead of time), very efficient, excellent customer service, flawless product and free beer.

What's not to love?

For the record, I didn't mean to imply that I disagree with anything that Steevo says......I just wanted to call him an ass kisser.
