Listen, I'm on record as saying, "If you can't do it on a P bass, then you probably shouldn't be doing it."

But JESUS, it's 2007! Almost 2008! Yeah, yeah, the P bass is an "industry standard" and not a one-trick pony and Jamerson used one and blah blah effin' blah.

What a boring world it would be if everyone played the same bass, but godDAMN I am tired of Precision basses.

I really am. Just up to freakin' HERE with them, frankly.

Go! Enjoy your P bass! But don't ask me to drink the Koolaid or buy another one.

I had yet another P bass last year and it served to remind me that I no longer really like P basses. You'd think I would know that already.

Um, anyway, you guys go on without me here.

How can he not know what it is? Are ppl so set in their ways that they don't check out anything else?

Are you complaining about ONE bass-player who´s never seen a Stingray? I´ve been playing Chapman Stick since -87 about. Get a Stick and I´m sure you´ll be amazed about how many people/musicians who´s never seen or heard of the Stick. The most common thing I´ve heard from folks through these 20 years is: "What the heck IS that???"

Nothing better than a
"STRINGRAY BASS
MAPLE NECK AND BOARD
VINTAGE BURST
E43588 "

Although I think a "Serling" is more my style.

...reminds me of the new "Pohn Setrucci" sig guitar.

Good find:) funny.
