That's not a luke sadly. It's a Carvin 7 string tuned down a whole step.
But... the good news is that he is saving for a decked out JP7. Thats probably the only guitar that WILL stay in tune when detuned.

Set up correctly, with the right string gauges, just about any half decent guitar should be stable at lower tunings.

Well not this one.... Trust me, we tried everything. Even toothpicks under the strings at the nut. It's horrible.
We have more faith in a JP7!

Maybe the guitar isn't half decent

I play in two bands, one tunes to A#, the other to A, a long way down for a guitar - none of the total of five guitarists have any problems holding that tuning - they all use different guitars (as yet none are EBMM's). Luckily for me on bass it's only a semitone or two...
