I am posting this here because I need somebody to bite on this before I do something stupid.

Really nice price on a used Black HH Bongo4. Somebody do something about this. I am trying not to do anything until after the end of the year. This would definately involve me having to sell my Metal Flake Green Stingray...unless somebody wants to buy my Stingray...

Heres the deal Jack. I have a gold bongo. I went to the University of Missouri. Our colors are Black and Gold. I have gotten this bug in my head about a Bongo bass set in honor of my Alma Mater. I was really thinking of an HS though, but that is such a nice price...jeez this is annoying...

I gone done it and made it official. As far as my building herd, you have to understand something with me. I'm a hack with more money than talent (not that thats saying much). For me to own more than two basses I would have to start justfying that expense. The Fretless SR5 is finally on the 'bay as I haven't played it in 3 months, and I will start shopping the Stingray, even though it is the best sounding Ray I have played. A fretted and a fretless is all I really need and truthfully I could get along fine with just my fretless. I will however reexamine the bass situation when the limited edition color is announced.

But regardless...BONGO!!!!!!

I was just thinking ..... you could put a black p/g on the gold Bongo and a gold p/g on the black Bongo. Talk about honoring your Alma Mater!

I’ve been thinking, and yes it does make my head hurt, but, I sort of justify having a growing bass herd by Not buying other things many guys do at my age.

I’m 50ish and happily married with no girlfriend on the side. That alone is worth a couple EBMM basses a year.

Several of my friends are getting into motorcycles, my next door neighbor just laid out 31 grand for a new bike. I don’t like to get wet, cold and hurt, so no bike for me… mo basses, mo basses…

I don’t care much for cars, boats, horses, I don’t golf, I really don’t have many other interests other than music, and so what the hell is wrong with buying basses? I have all the equipment I need for keyboard gigs, really good stuff. I enjoy playing the bass and like to have plenty of them… SO THERE!





I promised Jack that I will by my next bass from him and I will. (But Beaver at Bass Central has a lefty natural/maple Sterling in stock that is making me lose sleep…)

But I want it now! Great timing, the SR5 sells today and this gets shipped today. I feel bad because the seller is getting taken for 20 bucks more on the shipping then he charged me. It must be karma though for me because the same thing happened on my Rev and now the 20 is coming back.
