some ex's have mentioned the too many basses thing before and the "how many shoes do you have" and "how many pairs of black pants do you have" questions seem to get the point across.

LOL -

My daughter solved this one for me - when I got my Bongo the question was"How many basses do we really need/" My 13 year old shot back, "well, how many mountain bikes do we need, Dad?!"

She got a big raise in her allowance.......:D :D

"it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to get permission."

Growing up in southern (swampy) Mississippi, I knew many three-legged dogs. Most of them lived near the water.

Which is where the gators live. I wonder how dog-leg tastes. Must be okay.

Once you get to a certain number and once they get used to seeing basses come in and out, it becomes a non-event.

In fact, I've come home to find a box (clearly a bass) that has been received by the wife.

She said, "Is that yours or is that for a customer?"

I said, "I don't know, I can't remember."

And that was really about it.

They must become accustomed to it, then you're home free.

"I don't know, I can't remember."

Always a good one....

BTW, I called and got Erika on the phone the other day and actually got a chuckle out of her with my misuse of the Spanish language. First time I didn't feel all Eddie Haskely talking to her.
