UPS normally delivers early evening here. I'm estimating the box to be here between 1800 to 1900.:)

BTW, so you're back home? I hope you can enjoy the new toy for a while and don't have to rush to duty again! Have a nice evening!

Hey, thanks.

Our ship arrived last Wednesday. We sailed around the world  It was extra special for me as it was probably my last deployment. I plan is to hang it up after shore duty.

But back on topic, IT"S HERE!!!!!

Haha, Jack, I get jaded like that about deployment. It's like, well now that I am home I better fix those broken sprinklers stat.

Here she is:

I ordered her from Pete last August and he was kind enough to hold onto her for me for 4 months :)

This is my first Sterling neck EB and I had my reservations but I had no issues whatsoever. I am still wrapping my head around the electronics. This bass is almost everything a Stingray is not and I am forcing myself not to look for that EBMM sound. So far I am liking Active with middle pup on and Active all pups off (which IIRC gives me parallel settings of certain coils)

Thanks Pete and EBMM for yet another well built bass!

Wow, the Big AL's electronic package really made me set aside everything I know about Music Man EQ and adopt an open minded, deliberate approach to finding my sound. Between the 3 singles and the multiple switching options it is really possible to sit and doodle for hours just savoring what each setting brings. A Stingray it is not and I have pretty much accepted that it will not growl nor bark like one. However, there is so much variation in the tones available and it is possible to pull big, punchy humbucker like sounds by running all pups in parallel or series (depending on how I want my mids) while being only a button press away from smooth single coil sounds and thumpy passive tones.

I noticed that I had to run my gain higher than usual if I only run passive or active with one coil but that should be expected.
