Very Nice pair! It is really cool to see the subtle differences in the two Dargies when you get them up close. Two of the coolest colors EB has produced in my opinion.

They look so good together!

Try the Sound of the neck and bridge together in active mode with a good boost on the low mids and a little boost an the lows. Perfect modern boutique sound with balls.

You will have to use the EQ a little different than you are used to from the Bongo, but the Al sounds great. Also middle only or all buttons out does pretty well in the bandmix.

You will grow on its sounds, be patient...

All pickups off is middle and bridge pickups in series, one of my fave tones on the Big Al.

Congrats on getting home, thanks for being out there for your country!

I gotta say, I think my favorite Big Al color is the DDII Caramel Apple Delight! Enjoy that beautiful instrument!

dargies

This is my first Sterling neck EB and I had my reservations but I had no issues whatsoever. I am still wrapping my head around the electronics. This bass is almost everything a Stingray is not and I am forcing myself not to look for that EBMM sound. So far I am liking Active with middle pup on and Active all pups off (which IIRC gives me parallel settings of certain coils)

Thanks Pete and EBMM for yet another well built bass!

Welcome back to Shore!!

Now.....Congrats on the beautiful DD II. So the official color is called Caramel Apple?? Hmmm never knew that...

Oh yeah, that custom strap is awesome, how much did that run you? Where did you have it made?

Ugh, man..., what a collection!

Congrats & welcome back! ;)

P.S. ...You still have fretless Bongo, right?

Hey there Keko. Southeastern Europe (especially Split!) and the Levant are nice but it's good to be back in California :)

Yeah I still have the fretless Bongo though I am thinking of selling it to fund a Classic SR5.

Now I'm just really tempted to trade in one of my stingrays for a big al dd :( I wonder how much my 30th is worth these days.. (Got a couple of nicks)
