I've been playing bass for a long time, and I've owned many basses. However, over the last few years I've really begun to appreciate a musical instrument's heritage. For example, I have a greater respect and appreciation for a bass if I have respect and appreciation for it's maker. I have found forums like this one to be a "window" into the world of the people who make the basses I love.

And the more I learn about BP and the whole EBMM clan, the more I love my Stingray. I salute you both, Jack and BP. You guys truly make me proud to own and play EBMM basses.

My first post. I've been peeping here (& the pit) for the last year or two but just validated last week. Just wanted to say congrats to bovinehost...you do a great job. And to Sterling... very impressed. Can't say I've seen any other owner hang out on a message board like you do. Seems like a bunch of cool people here.

Anyway, I don't own an EBMM. But I just got called back to work from a 10 month layoff, (thank God for gigs) so it shouldn't be too long till I have to decide a color! Thanks for having a great place to lurk!

What I want to know is....did you change your T-shirt before taking this pic so it'd match the bass or not...not that there's anything wrong with that....tell the truth now! You did didn't ya???

I think it's time for Jack to change his most recent order to a HS SR5.....

As tempting as it is, Dargin, I am an unapologetic Bongo Dude.

I have had to learn to accept it. I play Bongos. It's what I do.

I'm not quite that geeky just yet. It's just an old comfortable shirt. Plus, if I'd been thinking about attire to set off the new bass, I would have chosen something that would contrast more with the graphite pearl.

I show no record of him sending me a deposit on this recent order.

But I'm like a Boy Scout. Well, except for the high moral standards and stuff.

Road Pop, welcome to non-lurker status. Hope you can get yourself a proper bass sometime soon. Every now and then, used basses pop up here so keep an eye out - and thanks for the kind words.

Jack
