One of these weekends I'm going to take a trip to come see your store and meet you in person, man. After Christmas I'll have some money and it'll be time for a new Ball!
Pete, I'm sure stepping down from the Pharmacy was tough. Congrats on your decision, I'm sure that the music store/business will florish with you there 24/7.
I havn't been posting much as of late although I check the forum prob 3-4 a day but I just had to post on this one. Congrats Pete, all the best to you man!!! Hopefully in 08 I can put an order or 2 in.
Pete, I appreciate how difficult it must have been to give up a day job with a regular pay check for something you are more passionate about. However, in the long run your level of satisfaction is bound to be much greater in the family business. In the end, that is what counts. Congratulations on your decision.
I may have to finally pull the trigger on that jp6 I have been drooling over.
I dunno why I posted on the other side first... this seriously rocks though. So everyone knows, dealers like Pete make my job a lot easier and on top of it, he's a cool guy. Can't wait for some mid-day calls man! I was growing quite accustomed to the 7:15 jingle!
Very cool Pete, all the best to ya. I'm a customer for life. Like others have stated, your post really held my interest because I didn't know how it was going to end, but am glad it ended the way it did. You do an awesome job w/ the store, and to carry on the family business is a worthwhile venture that should prove fruitful. Now go out and have some kids so they can carry on your legacy!!
When I first read the thread, I thought you were going to say you got a promotion to head pharmacy tech or something and you'd be leaving the music biz. Being a brick and mortar store in this day and age with all the superstores around is tough. I had noticed you'd been a bit busy lately and from a customer point a view, I can see where there would be frustrations on both sides. Good luck to you and I'm sure I'll be making more treks to your shop in the future.
Can a post be congratulatory, and be envious and jealous at the same time?
I do not think that I am the only one to say 'congratulations' to you, Pete, while feeling envious and even jealous that you will be able to immerse yourself in the music business full time, as many of us undoubtedly wish we could do as well. I wish you all the best!
