We already have a guilty pleasures thread, so I thought it might be fun to create the yin to that yang. Ever heard a song (or more than one) that you thought was just awful? Not just bad or lame either, I mean songs that are so bad you actually feel uncomfortable when you hear them  This is not meant to trash any artists, or anyones opinion. What one person hates, chances are another person loves, so it's all for laughs

Fire away!

Honky Tonk Padonka Donk -- ARRRGH! It's SOOOO BAD

Beth,
It's "badonka donk". Don't ask me why I know that .. oh wait, I live in Indio. ;)

I was thinking about this horrible song the other day and was reminded of how much it irritatated me in the 90's on a road trip to San Felipe ... had to hear it a bajillion times:

Just Another Day by Jon Secada

Sweet Love by Anita Baker - everyone thought her gargly wail was so arty, especially paired with her almost epileptic upper torso movements used to add punch.

That "we built this city" song by Jefferson Starship makes me want to light myself on fire

That gets my vote for worst song ever. I knew it was awful after about ten seconds, and I'm proud to say I've never listened to it all the way through. I've always been in a position where I could change the station (or leave the room) when it came on.

"What's Up" by Four Non Blondes is a VERY close second though. I hate, hate, hate that song.

Sheena Easton, "9 to 5"

MY baby takes the morning TRAIN
HE works from nine to five and THEN
HE takes another home aGAIN
TO FIND ME WAITING FOR HIM

Then repeat, in an even more annoying key.
