Glenn, I have Acid 5 and it's a program that's primarily designed for loops. I believe Acid 6 is more friendly for those of us that prefer a more traditional route. A mate of mine swears by Acid, I don't use it that much.

I use acid 5 for recording, l mic my amp to a mixer from a mixer to my computer, l find it great for recording, cause you can just copy parts instead of recording. l'm not really into all that over the top recording programs, l just wanted a click and record program, if l want to do a pro recording l get it recorded by a pro.

Recording acid with acid on acid.
