OK, OK. Between this forum and Talkbass, I'm keeping it as is! Well, I'm going to remove that stupid 69 sticker, and clean it up as best I can. But otherwise, it shall remain mojo'd.

Picking up the bass tomorrow! In the meantime, I dropped into my local GC and picked up a gig bag (doesn't come with a case), a strap, and a set of COBALTS. Haven't tried them before, I think this is the time to do it! The anticipation is killing me.

I always try to treat my gear with care, but considering the price, those blemishes wouldn't bother me a bit-- if it bugs you months/years later there's the nail polish option

It's officially NBD!

Picked up the classic from the pawn shop. Took off the PG and control plate and cleaned the gunk that had accumulated around them. I removed the stupid 69 sticker and used some adhesive remover to get the residue off the PG. The pickup height was way low on the bass side, so I set it to factory specs. This isn't a great picture, but you can see it looks much better already! I can't wait to get home and string it up with some cobalts!
