A. He does? I heard he was having some terrible health problems - that combined with his website being gone for years - and info I saw on another website - I thought he was done - do you have a way to email him or a link to a new website?

B. I was told Herc did the first swirls for Ibanez by a rep back in the 90s - I suppose I could have been lied to.

C. The workmanship is superior. The finish coat is by far the most professional aftermarket job I've ever seen. Period. The guy truly is an artist.

Im sorry that norrin has to sell only his ebmm's....I dont think that JP is interested he gets whatever his heart desires directly from us.

I never said that! I just thought those two would be of most interest to the people on this forum. Other guitars will have better luck selling on other forums, I figured.

As for JP, I only made overtures after it was suggested by another forum member.

In addition, my PRS was a gift from a friend given under special circumstances, that, more than any other reason, is why it is not for sale.

Norrin

I have zero problem with you selling guitars as I know you will be back! I also know that you didnt suggest JP buying the guitar but was responding to the thread in general

lets have a little contest and see how long before he is back n the family.

Like most of my friends he probably met this fabulous girl that was crazy about this motorcycle riding guitar playing fly fishing golfer softball player.....within three years all the guy has left is the softball mitt and its on ebay! Norrin I m just havin fun with this post dont take it personally!

I say you're crazy and are really going to regret this!
Both those guitars are beautiful. A beautiful top on the Axis.
Why can't your wife wait a little longer to save for the kitchen?
I don't want to start a domestic squabble.
I'm started renovations a couple of years ago, and trust me, I'm in the industry.
It's a disease. You'll upgrade the kitchen and it will be beautiful. Then the kitchen will make everything else look bad. Now you're re-painting the dining room. Oh! That floor doesn't look right either....... You catch my drift!
You really don't want to end up like me waiting to get back in the "ebmm" game because your money is flying everywher else..

he he he....

Actually, I'm angling to get an Albert out of the deal....:D (If I can sell the JP!)

If I could get a white one with a rosewood fretboard - deal done! (I want to put a mint green guard on one - natty headstock - rosewood board - I just like that look)!

SO, BP has uncovered my plot!

I guess that's why he's the boss!

Actually,

the kitchen will be the LAST upgrade, we already painted the entire first floor and added on (from nothing) an entire upper floor. The kitchen has been given the shaft now for 5 years since we moved in, I'm afraid it's due. Plus, having two youngins (2 1/2 and 7 months) and the wife wanting a thrid soon, well, priorities change. It's not like I want to sell these guitars. But you know what? EBMM isn't going anywhere, and when I want to replace that Axis in 5 years with a premium quilt tobacco burst, they'll still be here. AND, as was kindly pointed out to me, Herc is still doing his thing too, so if I want to go in that direction, it's still available.

Honestly, the Axis is sold, just waiting for the paypal to go through and the JP - I've had no bites (which is actually kind of a relief, I may have to keep it or try and sell it on ebay for a ludicrous price, also likely resulting in my keeping it, oh darn! ), but a t least I gave it a try, right? ;)

Mine was a toss up between Honeyburst (kbaim sent me a great photo of his) and the black cherry burst.
Me I prefer the non matching h/stock on a maple neck.
I think the trem is great but is microphonic when the piezo is on.
The piezo is "sublime" - makes it 2 guitars in one.
If I could afford it (and I can't!) I'd have an AL swirled like yours - it looks bl00dy amazing !!
Now I have the SSS I now also want an MM90 equipped AL.

Keep us up to speed on the aquisition.

If I'm not mistaken there is one way an Albert Lee can be ordered with a rosewood fretboard - but you have to get the black/gold 2006 limited edition model which all come with rosewood boards.

So now its time to step up all you AL cravers who can't live without rosewood. It's there, and its calling.
