Sorry, It's usually not that difficult since there is a numbering convention used. I thought maybe someone on the board knew the formula. I didn't realize it was a secret. Is it a secret?

Unfortunately there's no formula to figure out the date, it's just whatever serial number is stamped on the plate that they pull out of the big box of plates on whatever day they finish assembling the guitar. EB has a database of what numbers and instruments were completed on each day.

Example - We got in a 7 string JP, SN F14252 with a birthday of Nov 29th, 2005, back in the first week of December. Just today, we got in a 7 string JP with SN F05324 that was born just last week, in 2006... The serial numbers aren't necessarily issued sequentially, and they aren't indicative of the date the instrument was manufactured.

That's why someone at EB needs to look it up.

Where did I ask 3 times? Someone asked that I post the #...I went back and edited the number into the original post. I asked the board once and EB once.

BTW - You try sitting in a room Teaching 20 Special Ed High School students and remain patient. You are lucky it wasn't 30 times.

Sorry you only mentioned it it twice....we did get back to you in less than twenty four hours.

Hope you find a good home for that guitar.

Foggy....Too old? 96 was a great vintage.

Not knocking any older or used stuff.
The problem is if I don't know the sellar and the older it is, the great the possibility there could be something wrong with it.

No offence MLE. Just my caution policy. :)

Like I wouldn't give you the 24 approval period...try it, if it is not in the condition that I say it is in send it back and I refund your money. I have references on EBAY and Harmony Central.

This guitar looks like it is new.

I believe you! There's no doubt. I'm speaking in general terms.
It looks to be in great shape and a great price too.
Part of my reason for not jumping on it is also the fact that I've been planning on a piezo and white is not in my top favourite colour choices. But it does look nice!

Again, no offense. Good luck on getting her a new home!

Along with the piezo that guitar also has to be moth resistant, cause when Foggy finally opens that wallet....

Moths is all that been in my wallet for the last couple of years.
This year marks a point where I should finally see some return on my investment from my business. My reward of course will be my first EBMM! :D

Hey! Post 1969! The year I hatched! ;)

The more I play it, the more I think that I didn't try to adjust to the guitar properly. I normally play a Strat Plus for most of a gig. When switching to the Silo, the pickup output (volume) was so different (obviously S vs HB) that I was fighting the amp constantly. I play a THD Flexi which is basically a single channel amp.

As far as playing the guitar, it is smooth. It takes some time to get used to the 24 frets, but plays and looks new. It will be a steal for someone.
