I think it may be the reflection of light off the sparkle as it passes through the pg.

Dave...do you want me to put large pics up?

Didn't think about that. Just woke up so it's not the best time of day to be thinking. Looked like an egyptian diamond plate or something. :p

Yes this is a hologram pickguard ,I have found that material and I custom made that one in my shop. When i got the bass it had a Mirror guard and i just didn't like it.

It definetely looks more of a Stratus Blue Sparkle to me. Then again, its not always easy to tell because of the difference in light. But this looks darker when compared to my old GBS ray.

Its my guess that Dave snagged the one off eBay, the auciton ended early, and that one had a mirror pickguard. That one was def. GBS.

I'd have to go with Patrick on this one. Looks like Stratus Blue.

Dave, why not create a Photobucket album to catalog your basses, just like smallequestrian has done with the Ernie Ball color database? (see sticky thread at the top of the page). Photobucket is a breeze to use, and uploading pics is a walk in the park.

Post the serial number and let EBMM tell us whether or not it's Glacier Blue.
