Always wondered if bodybuilding slows down the fingers. I tried to lift weights and haven't personally have any problems.

The main sport I play is golf but I typically do many things over the course of the year, swimming, bicycling, weight training, and running are a few of the other activities I partake in.

I play Ice Hockey too. Haven't had anything that really permanent effected my play. Two shoulder separations slowed me down for a while, especially the first one. It really took a long time to be able to wear a guitar strap correctly. Although you get hit in the hands a lot, the gloves are pretty protective. Really need to be careful about catching the puck with the palm side of your hand though.

Had a really bad high ankle sprain that took forever to heal, but that probably improved my guitar playing!

Also have recently started Olympic lifting in conjunction with crossfit. I think the pressure of the bar is causing some nerve issues in my left hand. Either that or my carpal tunnel is flaring up...or both. I have slight numbness in my fingertips that really doesn't effect my playing but I also get some sharp pains in my palm that are unpredictable and transient. Working through that right now.

Ski as much as I can in the winter. Nothing I would call extreme. Never had a serious skiing injury although I've probably deserved a couple!

Few years back I was riding in Austin going up hill the chain broke my ankle slammed down ad got wrenched back. whats worse is I had to push /ride the bike all the way to the PO where my dad works I limped in a co worker saw me ran and got my dad. When my dad came out to the counter he saw my foot and almost lost his lunch but no he rushed me to the ER and I cant even sit on a bike any more. But I still tear it up and down the street on my Penny Nickle cruiser, Sidewalk Surfer forever

When I was younger I was an international martial arts competitor and had three first degree blackbelts before I could drive a car.
I was a wrestler after that for several years and coached wrestling at a local high school
And then I did judo for a year or two as well

Very cool! I studied Martial Arts for about 14 years. I actually started training for the 2005 olympics for sparring. I studied Tae Kwon Do. If I could go back in time I would have studied Kung Fu but I was young when I started and that was the only program I was able to participate in.
